TypeSafe AI's CEO disclosed that every customer decision from its Jev model leaked, and posted the link himself

AspireAI community · TypeSafe AI (Diogo Almeida on X)
*TypeSafe AI's CEO told the internet his own API had leaked every customer decision, then posted the link.* At roughly 6:49 PM on Friday, Diogo Almeida said TypeSafe became aware of a massive unauthorized leak of ALL customer noul outputs - Jev's typed 0-to-1 probability answers. Developer Wes Bos confirmed his own output was in it, and Jarrod Watts replied "dude mine is in there wtf". Netlify's Matt Biilmann compared it to publishing every social security number. If you run Jev as a fraud filter, a moderation gate or a classifier, every decision your software made about a real person or transaction may now be public. Caveat: no postmortem, no customer count, no confirmed root cause, and the linked gist is no longer reachable. https://x.com/CompleteSkeptic/status/2113810106177773587

THE BIG PICTURE
A FRESH PERSPECTIVE
Research
One distance function matched sparse-autoencoder features across layers and compressed feature circuits into supernodes
Two sparse-autoencoder analyses have resisted scaling: matching semantically similar features across layers, and compressing large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes. This paper argues both are the same underlying problem, estimating semantic distances between SAE features that sit on different activation manifolds. Its representation treats each feature not as a single decoder vector but as an activation-weighted distribution over the hidden states expressing it, projects those distributions into a shared reference space, and compares them with Wasserstein distance. The representation is proved invariant to activation rescaling and stable under perturbation, and recovers true matches under finite-sample margin conditions. Empirically it outperformed decoder-vector and LLM-based baselines and captured subtle functional distinctions between related features, and it compressed large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes automatically. The limitation is that this is interpretability tooling: the paper demonstrates better feature matching and circuit compression, not that downstream interpretability claims become more accurate.
