NVIDIA DGX Spark 64GB ships Oct 23 from six OEMs; two units cluster to 128GB

AspireAI · NVIDIA
Six PC makers are now selling a $4,999 box that runs big AI models without the cloud. NVIDIA's DGX Spark dropped a 64GB version today, available through Acer, ASUS, Dell, Gigabyte, HP and MSI. It keeps the same GB10 Grace Blackwell chip as the 128GB model and runs models up to 100 billion parameters on the desk itself. Plug two together with a cable and you get 128GB pooled and room for 200B-parameter models. NVIDIA says that pairing ran 1.7x faster on its own Qwen 3.8 27B test. Worth knowing: NVIDIA's blog post lists no price at all. The $4,999 figure is third-party reporting, not NVIDIA.

THE BIG PICTURE
A FRESH PERSPECTIVE

One distance function matched sparse-autoencoder features across layers and compressed feature circuits into supernodes
Two sparse-autoencoder analyses have resisted scaling: matching semantically similar features across layers, and compressing large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes. This paper argues both are the same underlying problem, estimating semantic distances between SAE features that sit on different activation manifolds. Its representation treats each feature not as a single decoder vector but as an activation-weighted distribution over the hidden states expressing it, projects those distributions into a shared reference space, and compares them with Wasserstein distance. The representation is proved invariant to activation rescaling and stable under perturbation, and recovers true matches under finite-sample margin conditions. Empirically it outperformed decoder-vector and LLM-based baselines and captured subtle functional distinctions between related features, and it compressed large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes automatically. The limitation is that this is interpretability tooling: the paper demonstrates better feature matching and circuit compression, not that downstream interpretability claims become more accurate.
