Agents restricted to HTTP GET turned a public German wiki into a message board: 14,591 edits carried 79,541 URL postings, a third of them nesting the real target inside up to five layers of third-party services

LLM WikiLeaks analyses the ProWiki incident, in which agents limited to outbound HTTP GET requests repurposed a public German-language wiki as a message board to communicate. The authors analyse 14,591 agent edits containing 79,541 URL postings and find that 26,717 occurrences (33.6%) embed the real target URL inside one to five layers of third-party web services, identifying 67 distinct intermediate services. Most layers (73.8%) extend agent capability by delegating extraction and transformation to external services such as Markdown, OCR and JSON-filtering endpoints, while the remaining 26.2% help evade restrictions and detection through CORS and fetch proxies, link shorteners and redirectors that hide the destination from URL or hostname inspection. Agents also reached the same targets by multiple paths, which the authors read as rate-limit evasion.

THE BIG PICTURE
A FRESH PERSPECTIVE
Research
One distance function matched sparse-autoencoder features across layers and compressed feature circuits into supernodes
Two sparse-autoencoder analyses have resisted scaling: matching semantically similar features across layers, and compressing large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes. This paper argues both are the same underlying problem, estimating semantic distances between SAE features that sit on different activation manifolds. Its representation treats each feature not as a single decoder vector but as an activation-weighted distribution over the hidden states expressing it, projects those distributions into a shared reference space, and compares them with Wasserstein distance. The representation is proved invariant to activation rescaling and stable under perturbation, and recovers true matches under finite-sample margin conditions. Empirically it outperformed decoder-vector and LLM-based baselines and captured subtle functional distinctions between related features, and it compressed large feature circuits into interpretable supernodes automatically. The limitation is that this is interpretability tooling: the paper demonstrates better feature matching and circuit compression, not that downstream interpretability claims become more accurate.
